After a long road together with our friends by minivan, car and ferry, finally the first STandART concert in Finland. The local band “Murnau’s Playhouse” opened the event, STandART went on the stage next, and the last were another Finnish band “…and the Ocean”. During the performance of STandART, in another hall, on the other side of the wall, the Danish band “Mew” was playing.

While the other STandART members had arrived in Stockholm earlier (by plane and by ferry), Harry’s participation in the concert wasn’t clear until the last moment, as his plane was postponed because of the fog, first the day before, then on the day of the concert. Finally, Harry managed to arrive at the venue shortly before STandART concert. But after the dinner 🙂

An open air festival at Ratnieki, near Līgatne. After STandART concert, Mārtiņš and Kalvis also performed with “Ēnu kaleidoskops”. Among other participants were such STandART-related artists as “Dzelzs vilks”, “Gas of Latvia”, Imants Daksis. “Bez Miega Zirgi”, the new single with the lyrics by Latvian poet Rainis, was played at this festival by STandART for the first time.

The event was opened by live performances of the band “Gaserata” and the secret guests – the project “Ir Divas Saules” (There Are Two Suns). STandART videos were shown on the big screen, including the premiere of the new “Pioneers” video. STandART went on stage in their animal masks. During “Autumn News”, a great amount of red and golden maple leaves was used, which probably was one of the most memorable moments of the performance. After the recently published new versions, “Pioneers” and “Season People” were performed both in Latvian and English alternately. Dances under the guidance of Dj Gac and Dj Momentz until 6 a.m. concluded the event.

Estonian Depeche Mode Fan Club Birthday Event with 46 Latvians and 2 Finns in the audience. The event was opened by various DM related singing, knowledge and video contests and the birthday cake. At midnight, STandART went on stage in animal masks, and the whole Latvian crowd in the audience put on their previously prepared animal masks as well. The golden maple leaves were thrown up in the air during “Autumn News”.
